How To Get Washboard Abs – My Personal Experience

My name is Jake. I used to be a bit overweight and really self conscious about it. Check out my pictures in the ‘about me’ page. This is also the reason I cut my head out of the picture.

Anyway, I don’t want to bother you with all the details of my experience at the beginning so I’m going to post THE most important thing I’ve learned about how to get washboard abs fast:

You see, I didn’t fail because I lacked the drive for hard work or enthusiasm, but simply because I failed to do the right things to get the results I wanted. This is when I decided that I must figure out how to get washboard abs… You know… a great looking six pack and learn all the necessary steps you need to take to get that body that I had always dreamed about!

Well from my experiences I learned that there are many different ways of exercising. Some workouts are for how to get super strong shoulders and biceps. These are the dreams of every bodybuilder and you will have to do some very specific things to achieve similar results. For those of you who expect me to talk about these exercises will be disappointed because I could write an entire book about it!

Remember, you don’t need a few lame exercises you can find online. What you need is a whole training program specifically on how to get washboard abs.

Without such a program, you have failed before you have even started. It sucks but it’s true!!! I thought I knew what was doing, but even though I had good intentions, in all truth, I had not a clue about how to get washboard abs the right way.

Seriously though, don’t just mix up some oddball exercises that you see other people doing or even worse get all “smart” and try to fool your body into thinking you are working your abs correctly with some “awesome” exercises some other guy uses. Get a gym membership or buy equipment yourself, buy proper food, schedule your trainings etc. I’ve failed here my first time as well. :) The truth of the matter is that there simply is no ‘Magic Pill’ that will get you those rock hard washboard abs you want.  It will take some time and a bit of dedication. Also, don’t think the whole thing will happen in a week or so with little effort from you, doesn’t happen. You know what they say, little effort little results…. But stick with me my friends! Sometimes things will get hard and heavy, you will feel really tired from the day before when you went out… BUT you still have to move your ass and just DO IT. Missing your training does more damage than you think because of the way our body works. I used to be overweight and really insecure about myself. I was ashamed of taking my shirt off and my dating life really suffered. I mean seriously! I was totally lonely and it was pathetic. I was old enough to make something happen (22) and really desperate for a change. Usually if you have good looking abs you also have a strong body and that’s why I wanted to learn how to get washboard abs.

The bad thing was, I was too naive and thought it would be easy. I bought some weights to train at home, I ate some more proteins, trained about 40 minutes up to 1 hour and a half maximum… The time I spent working out was normal and even appropriate, but everything else I did was dead wrong!

Those proteins I ate, I got some gainer chocolate flavored powders and those didn’t really help.  Too many calories for me. The exercises that I did were completely wrong, and I also did most of them the wrong way anyway! In the beginning I didn’t get anywhere, I mean after about 3 months I lost a few pounds…but very little and no signs of any real abs or tone.
